How long have you been in the fitness industry on the Sunshine Coast?

My love of fitness began 16 years ago, just before I moved here in 2001.  I began working in the industry in 2007

I hear you have a love of adventure?

I’ll give any adventure a go. Triathlons, 1/2 marathons, 10km fun runs, tough mudder, sky diving, wakeboarding, snowboarding, kayaking. I love being outdoors!

What treks have you done?

I love adventure, and have been lucky enough to complete 5 major treks including Mount Kilimanjaro in 2015, Mount Everest Base Camp in 2014, the 910km Camino De Santiago Trek  in 2012, Kokoda Trek in 2011, and New Zealand’s Route Burn Trek in 2009.

It sounds like you really walk your talk! What qualifications do you have? 

I’m always adding strings to my bow. Some of my sport and fitness training include:

  • Young Business Woman of the year 2014
  • Certificate 3 & 4 in Fitness
  • Level 1 Strength Conditioning Coach
  • Boxing for fitness coach
  • Completed level 8 Pole Course through The Pole Gym Sunshine Coast
  • Completed Women for Women 1 & 2 workshop
  • Completed Body Consciousness Module 1 workshop
  • Registered Fitness Australia

Blase, what has drawn you to the Sunshine Coast?New Zealand born, I literally grew up with sand as my backyard, instilling my love of the ocean before I could Crawl. In 2001, the magical Sunshine Coast captured my heart, with its endless postcard quality beaches, breath taking hinterland and the majestic Glasshouse mountains, a perfect home for an Adventurer.

I hear you have a little MAB inside secret?Meeting my gorgeous partner, owner & founder of the MAB brand Melinda Bingley, has complemented both of our visions, to serve the wellbeing of all sentient beings. Thus, we are creating & constantly developing this incredible product with our own flare and passion of life.

What’s something that we wouldn’t know by just looking at you?In my junior years, I captained my state (mighty QLD) & represented my birth country New Zealand in Rugby League.  After football life, I have studied/researched & developed mediations & practices from various religions & spiritual practices over the past 7 years.  I have a passion of ENERGY, how it works, creates, evolves in everything.

What lights you up?Creating safe environments for men all of walks of life to embrace fears & emotions that have ruled their lives for decades.  Empowering men to tap into their gentleman warrior energy so that evolution from old stigma’s and conditionings continues, allowing space to create the stepping stones from these moulds. I will not stop until all men over this beautiful planet can feel love within themselves and then in turn feel love with everyone & thing that comes into their journey.

Procrastination is our greatest barrier to success



How long have you been in the industry and why did you decide to work in the industry? In 2006 I decided to study something that would make me a stronger person mentally and physically within myself. Once working within the fitness industry I realized how much I enjoy empowering and helping people to find their inner strength, appreciation and potential.

Whats your favourite aspect of  the industry? The favourite aspect of my career is helping people to overcome barriers and watching them achieve their goals, but seeing their smile at the end of it is even better.

How do you make fitness fun for you? I love being outdoors and challenging myself with a range of activities from sky diving to cable skiing, my weekly training consists of group training, boxing, bootcamps, running, mountain climbing, throughout the year I enjoy participating in fun runs and obstacle courses such as Tough Mudder, Stampede, Holt Bolt.

What is your favorite adventure to do on a weekend? Kayaking down Maroochydore River.
